Lost and Stolen Passport

If the lost/stolen passport was issued in Riyadh, a replacement may be issued within 10 working days.

 

If your passport has been lost or stolen the Embassy cannot issue a replacement unless the following requirements are met:-


1. The lost passport has been reported to the Saudi Passport and Immigration Authorities, and their report (together with a translation in English) is produced.


2. The stolen passport has been reported to the local police, and their report (together with a translation in English) is produced.


3. Submission of a correctly completed Passport Application Form, a completed Lost/Stolen Report Form ( LSO1 ) and three passport size photographs (one of which should be endorsed as indicated on the application form).


4. Payment of the correct passport fee.

If the lost/stolen passport was issued in Riyadh, a replacement may be issued within 10 working days. However, if issued at another Passport Office, Embassy or Consulate,  it may take longer than 10 days to replace as further enquiries may have to be made.

SAUDI REQUIREMENTS (VISAS)


1. The replacement passport should be submitted to the Saudi authorities as soon as possible, in order for them to regularise the holder’s status.  Their requirements are as follows:


(a)  Saudi Passport and Immigration Authorities/Police report of the loss;

(b)  Letter from British Embassy confirming loss of passport;


(c)  Visitors - letter from Saudi Company or Sponsor who arranged the visit visa;


(d)  Residents – letter from Saudi Sponsor and confirmation of details of the entry visa (available from the Immigration Authority in the city where the residence permit was issued or the Director General of Passports in Riyadh).
