EMBASSY FUNCTIONS

The Political Section of the Embassy, or Chancery, promotes bilateral political and defence relations between Britain and Saudi Arabia, and works closely with the Saudi Government to address international issues of concern.

The UK Trade and Investment supports British exports to, and investment in, Saudi Arabia, providing a wide range of services to both British and Saudi businesses.

The Press and Public Affairs Section provides information about Britain and British Government policies to the media and to the general public. It offers press, radio and television services for journalists, and can offer an extensive range of general information and free publications.

The Consular Services provides advisory services and help to British Citizens in Saudi Arabia. It issues British passports, and registers births and deaths of British subjects in Saudi Arabia.

The Visa Services issues over 25,000 entry clearances or visas per year for foreign nationals wishing to travel to the UK. It provides advice on all aspects of UK immigration requirements.
